Lunchtime Music on the Mall Festival Series Starts Today with Performances by Guitar and Vocal Artists Eli Lev and Emma ‘G’

June 30, 2016

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today announced that local District of Columbia artists Eli Lev and Emma “G” will be the lead-off performers to kick-off of this year’s Lunchtime Music on the Mall Festival series today from noon – 2:00 p.m. on the National Mall across from the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum on Jefferson Drive between 4th Street and 7th Street. Lunchtime Music on the Mall, which is sponsored by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, and the National Park Service (NPS), in conjunction with Norton, gives visitors, as well as federal and other office workers downtown, a chance to go outdoors for lunch and experience the National Mall, while supporting local artists.

“We could not ask for a more beautiful day to kick-off Lunchtime Music on the Mall,” Norton said. “I will be down on the Mall with residents, workers, and visitors to eat lunch and relax while enjoying a performance by two up-and-coming local artists.”
