Lunchtime Music on the Mall to Feature James Terrell, Today

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) welcomes musician James Terrell for a Lunchtime Music on the Mall performance today, Tuesday, August 4, 2015, from noon – 1:00 p.m. on the National Mall, at 7th Street and Jefferson Drive SW. Terrell was born and raised in Southeast, and received a master's degree from the Parsons School of Design in New York City. Upon returning to the District, Terrell obtained his divinity degree and began exploring the sounds of gospel music, which influenced both his music and his art.

Lunchtime Music on the Mall is produced by a partnership of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, the District of Columbia Commission on the Arts and Humanities, the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation, and the National Park Service, in conjunction with Norton's office.
