Norton Announces Her Annual Job Fair for D.C. Residents, August 2

July 18, 2017

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today announced that her annual Job Fair—free and open only to District of Columbia residents—will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Washington Convention Center (801 Mount Vernon PL NW). The Fair will feature employers from every sector and industry in this region, including the private sector, federal, state and county agencies, construction, retail, labor unions, restaurants, hotels and tourism, law enforcement, apprentice organizations, non-profits, and others. The Fair will also feature stations offering one-on-one consulting on applying for a job with workforce development professionals.

"Whether you are a D.C. resident looking for a job, or even a new, better job, our Fair is the place for you," Norton said. "Residents will have the rare opportunity to meet face to face with employers from across the region. D.C. residents won't want to miss this one-stop shop for jobs."

Job-seekers must bring proof of D.C. residency (photo ID, voter registration card, pay stub, utility bill, or lease).
