Norton to Give Thanks to D.C Area Military Families, Friday

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will begin Thanksgiving weekend by speaking at the Fourth Annual Military Thanksgiving Dinner, Friday, November 28, at 6:20 p.m. at Arena Stage (1101 6th St. SW). The event takes place in gratitude to servicemembers and their families.

"The spirit of Thanksgiving deserves to be shared with everyone in our community, particularly with our wounded warriors, servicemembers, and military families," Norton said. "We in the District are especially thankful for the sacrifices of D.C. servicemembers and veterans and their families, who have traveled abroad to uphold and bring democracy, only to return home to our nation's capital without the basic freedoms they themselves have risked their lives to help secure for others."
