Norton to March with Girl Scouts in 49th Annual July 4th Palisades Parade, Today

July 4, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton will walk in today's Palisades Fourth of July Parade with the Girl Scouts of Greater Washington, D.C. in what has become the District of Columbia's unofficial community parade. The parade, organized by the Palisades Citizens Association, kicks off at 11:00 a.m. and proceeds along MacArthur Blvd. NW from the firehouse on Whiteheaven Pkwy. NW to the Palisades Recreation Center (5200 Sherier PL. NW).

"If it is July 4th in D.C., it is Palisades Parade time," Norton said. "The Palisades Parade is the reminder we need that for us D.C. is a small town where neighbors have fun. I thank our Girl Scouts from across the city for walking with me."
