Norton to Participate in National Archives Panel on D.C. Statehood and Representative Democracy, Tonight

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will participate in a special program hosted by the National Archives, and presented in partnership with the U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress, entitled "D.C. Statehood and Representative Democracy," today, Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., at the William G. McGowan Theater of the National Archives Museum (700 Constitution Ave. NW). The discussion will feature participants who view the District from different positions in American society. The conversation will also touch on the current state of representative democracy in the United States and whether our current voting laws violate the spirit of our democracy. The event is free and open to the public.
