March 23, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) tomorrow, March 24, will speak at the ribbon cutting of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce 6th Annual Business Expo: Connections, Opportunities, and Growth held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center's Hall D (801 Mt. Vernon Pl. NW) at 9:00 a.m. More than 2,000 attendees and 150 exhibitors are expected at the event, which is free and open to the public.

"As the District of Columbia's Hispanic population has grown, we have seen a similar rise of Hispanic business owners," Norton said. "I am intent on seeing to it that specific federal assistance and loans are available to both Hispanic businesses and to aspiring Hispanic entrepreneurs here in the nation's capital to ensure they have all the tools they need to start and operate a successful business."
