Norton to Welcome D.C. Children to the Capitol for Annual Holiday Party, Thursday

December 14, 2016

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The United Planning Organization Inspire Foundation, in conjunction with Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), will host the 27th annual Capitol Hill Holiday Party for underprivileged children in the District of Columbia at the Capitol tomorrow, Thursday, December 15, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in 345 Cannon House Office Building (Cannon Caucus Room). The party, which will provide children with gifts and feature a visit from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, has been held during the holiday season every year since Norton came to Congress.

“In a holiday season all about kindness and giving, I could not be happier to welcome D.C. children to the Capitol who most need to feel loved by their city,” Norton said. “The visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus, as well as the toys and necessities being provided by D.C. businesses and non-profits, reflect the warmth and generosity of our community.”
