Norton Returns to the Stage for Annual ‘Will on the Hill,’ Tonight
Washington, DC—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), a regular at “Will on the Hill,” has been invited again to appear in Shakespeare Theatre’s Will on the Hill, an annual, bipartisan event that blends politics and theater. This year’s play, Lend Me Your Ears, written by Peter Byrne and the West Wing Writer’s group, will feature performances by members of Congress and special guest performances by Emmy-, Golden Globe-, and Tony- nominated actors, Nicholas Bruder, Harry Hamlin and Hannah Yelland.
The event will take place at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) tonight, Tuesday, June 17, 2014, with an introductory performance by Maryland’s Charles Flowers High School at 7:30 p.m. Norton, who has regularly appeared in this annual, long-running comedic event, is especially grateful for Shakespeare Theatre’s efforts to introduce D.C. residents and area students to Shakespeare through community outreach and partnerships with local organizations.
