A Community Conversation on Hot-Button Issues with Norton

April 10, 2013

WASHINGTON, DC – The office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) said that the D.C. Advisory Neighborhood Commission 4C (serving the Brightwood, Crestwood, Petworth and 16th Street Heights neighborhoods), in conjunction with Norton, will host a "Norton In Your Neighborhood" community conversation today, Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m., at the Petworth Library (4200 Kansas Ave. NW). Norton will discuss issues affecting D.C. residents, including the impact of sequestration spending cuts on the District, changes that may be coming to the Height Act, construction jobs for the city's residents, D.C. equality legislation that has been enacted, and the 20-week D.C. abortion ban bill, which was defeated. Above all, Norton said, she wants to hear feedback from her constituents.
