Committees and Caucuses

What is a Congressional Committee?

Committees are smaller groups of Members of the House of Representatives and staff who focus on various subjects or issue areas that come before Congress. Committees also break down into smaller groups, known as subcommittees for further specialization. There are twenty-one regular committees, four joint committees and one select committee. A full list of Congressional Committees can be found here. For information about the Committees I serve on, see here.

What is a Congressional Caucus?

Caucuses are groups of Representatives who come together to pursue shared goals. For information about the caucuses I am a part of see here.
