Lunchtime Music on the Mall Pre-Launch Returns Tomorrow

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The pre-launch performers for "Lunchtime Music on the Mall" on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, will be the rock band Rosy Likes Red, which will play near the Smithsonian Metro stop from noon to 2:00 p.m.,weather permitting. Sponsored by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority and the National Park Service, in conjunction with the Office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton, the pre-launch of Lunchtime Music on the Mall aims to inform area residents who work in the vicinity that Lunchtime Music on the Mall officially launches in July. Local and regional musicians, from vocalists to instrumentalists and soloists to string quartets, are playing on the National Mall during lunch hours every Tuesday during the informational pre-launch in June.
