Lunchtime Music on the Mall to Feature Hip-Hop Theater Artist Goldie Patrick, Today
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) welcomes Hip-Hop theater artist Goldie E. Patrick for a Lunchtime Music on the Mall performance today, Tuesday, June 30, 2015, from noon – 1:00 p.m. on the National Mall, at 7th Street and Jefferson Drive SW. Lunchtime Music on the Mall is produced by a partnership of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, the District of Columbia Commission on the Arts and Humanities, the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation, and the National Park Service, in conjunction with Norton's office.
Goldie E. Patrick, a Detroit native, has been working, living, and building artistic collaborations in the District of Columbia for over 15 years. Goldie is a spirited playwright, poet, performer, and teacher of hip-hop education and culture. She is a graduate of Howard University's Theatre Arts Department.
