Lunchtime Music on the Mall to Feature Violinist Bliss Ananda, Thursday

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) welcomes violinist Bliss Ananda for a Lunchtime Music on the Mall performance tomorrow, Thursday, June 25, 2015, from noon – 1:00 p.m. on the National Mall, at 7th Street and Jefferson Drive SW. Lunchtime Music on the Mall is produced by a partnership of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, the District of Columbia Commission on the Arts and Humanities, the D.C. Department of Parks and Recreation, and the National Park Service, in conjunction with Norton's office.

Charles Tolbert, also known as Bliss Ananda, was born in the District of Columbia and began studying music at Anacostia High School. After graduating high school, he attended college in Allentown, PA, studying electronics and sound recording. Ananda then returned to the District and has been writing music and performing across the city ever since.
