Miss D.C. to Join Norton’s “Strong Women Fighting, Preventing and Curing Breast Cancer” Forum Today

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today will host aDistrict of Columbia Breast Cancer Heroes forum in celebration of Women's History Month, featuring Miss D.C. Allyn Rose, who represented D.C. in this year's Miss America contest, with a unique and empowering breast cancer story. The celebration will also feature Dr. Christine Teal, Director of Breast Surgery at the George Washington University Hospital, offering the unique perspective of both a physician and patient of breast surgery, and Dr. Regina Hampton, founder of Breast Care for Washington, which provides care to underserved women at the Capital Breast Care Center in the District.
