Norton and Staff Teleworking from Home Daily During Normal Business Hours Beginning Friday

March 12, 2020

Washington, D.C.--The Office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) announced today that the Capitol and the House of Representatives closed to unescorted visitors beginning at 5 p.m. today, Thursday, March 12, 2020. However, Norton and her staff will keep regular hours, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. by teleworking from home beginning tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2020, and while The House is on recess beginning next week. Staff will be available by email and phone to address constituent concerns and will check the office voicemail frequently to promptly return all calls as necessary.

Constituents can also reach our office through our website, where we receive electronic messages through the "contact" page, and through the U.S. Postal Office Service, which scans and uploads letters to an online portal.

More information is available via automated message on the Norton congressional and district office voicemails.
