Norton Announces Three National Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrations

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today announced several events to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, which is recognized from September 15th to October 15th in the U.S.

"The Hispanic American community is a valuable part of American life and the rich diversity of the District," Norton said. "The District has a thriving Hispanic population that continues to grow each year. I look forward to celebrating this Hispanic Heritage Month, showcasing the contributions that make the Hispanic community in the District unique."

Congresswoman Norton will partner with the Hispanic Bar Association of D.C. to celebrate the success of Latino leaders in the D.C. community.

Congresswoman Norton will partner with the D.C. Office of Planning, Mayor's Office of Latino Affairs and Census 2020 to educate and raise awareness about the 2020 census.
