Norton Continues Senior Legislative Tour with Visit to Model Cities Senior Wellness Center, Today

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) announced that Norton will continue her Senior Legislative Tour with a visit to Model Cities Senior Wellness Center (1901 Evarts St. NE) today, Wednesday, February 21, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Instead of hosting one senior legislative day, Norton travels to meet with seniors at District of Columbia senior villages and wellness centers.

"Going to meet with D.C. seniors has been a particularly rewarding way to get the direct invaluable feedback I need to ensure their priorities are met," Norton said. "I also want to reassure seniors about Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, which are on my watch list as Republicans take criticism for creating a much deeper deficit with the recent corporate tax cut legislation. Our Senior Legislative Tour, like our ‘Norton in Your Neighborhood' events, is providing me and my staff the opportunities to go regularly to every part of the city to hear from and meet face-to-face with residents of every background."
