WASHINGTON, D.C. - Among the issues Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will discuss in her regular appearance on WUSA TV9, Monday, May 4, 9 a.m. are actions on the D.C. House Voting Rights bill in Congress and her upcoming annual small business fair, "The D.C. The fair will feature significant advantages Norton has used to get stimulus funds and opportunities for the District during this recession.
Norton also will discuss results from her first hearing, held last week, on the General Service Administration's plans to spend its $5.5 in stimulus funds in D.C. and elsewhere, and her GSA stimulus spending hearing coming up on Tuesday. The Congresswoman, a member of the Homeland Security Committee, will comment on the H1N1 Flu, and federal response to it. She also will discuss results from her field hearing Friday on the upcoming hurricane season, which begins June 1, and FEMA's preparation for it.
