Norton in Discussions with Federal Officials Concerning Traffic Issues Surrounding Inauguration

Washington, D.C. - This morning Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) spoke with a high-level security official to express her concern about the traffic control plan during the inauguration period. The Congresswoman, who serves on the Homeland Security Committee, is in touch with the need for significantly strengthened security for this inauguration, but is not aware of the options that have been considered. Consequently, she has been in discussions with the responsible federal officials.
