Norton in Your Neighborhood at Howard University to Focus on Statehood, Infrastructure, and NPS Plans, Tomorrow

October 20, 2014

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will host a "Norton in Your Neighborhood" community conversation tomorrow, Tuesday, October 21, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the campus of Howard University's School of Divinity, 1400 Shepherd Street NE. Norton invites Brookland area residents, and other District of Columbia residents, to join her and the Brookland Neighborhood Civic Association in a community discussion on preserving Brookland Green at Brookland-CUA Metro Station, furthering D.C. statehood, infrastructure investments and National Park Service plans in Brookland, and other congressional issues. Above all, the Congresswoman seeks feedback from her constituents at Norton in Your Neighborhood sessions.

"Tomorrow's community conversation and brainstorming session will give the Brookland community a sense of where we are in the Congress and where we are going, together," Norton said. "This community event is open to all D.C. residents, and I encourage District residents to join us tomorrow evening at Howard University's School of Divinity."

The Congresswoman encourages all D.C. community and civic organizations, Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners, and other groups to sponsor a Norton in Your Neighborhood. For more information, visit https://norton.house.gov or call Norton's district office at (202) 408-9041.
