‘Norton in Your Neighborhood’ Tonight with Kingman Park Civic Association to Focus on Wins for D.C. in President’s Budget, D.C. Priorities in Transportation Bill, and Statehood

February 18, 2016

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will host a “Norton in Your Neighborhood” community conversation with the Kingman Park Civic Association tonight, Thursday, February 18, 2016, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at St. Benedict the Moor Church (320 21st St. NE). Norton will engage Kingman Park-area and other District of Columbia residents in a discussion of the major funding and legislative victories for the District of Columbia in the President’s fiscal year 2017 budget, D.C.’s priorities included in surface transportation bill, the highest number ever of House and Senate original cosponsors for her D.C. statehood bill, and other congressional issues of interest to the community.

“‘Norton in Your Neighborhoods’ are the perfect opportunities to give my constituents an overview of our accomplishments for D.C. and to hear from them on what I need to be working on in Congress,” Norton said.
