‘Norton in Your Neighborhood’ Tonight with Shepherd Park Citizens Association

April 5, 2016

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will host a “Norton in Your Neighborhood” community conversation with the Shepherd Park Citizens Association tonight, Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., at Shepherd Elementary School (7800 14th St. NW). Norton will engage Shepherd Park-area and other District of Columbia residents in a discussion of the major funding and legislative victories for the District of Columbia in 2015 and in the President’s fiscal year 2017 budget, D.C.’s priorities included in last year’s surface transportation bill, the highest number ever of House and Senate original cosponsors for her D.C. statehood bill, and other congressional issues of interest to the community.

“Tonight I look forward to heading north to hear from my constituents in Shepherd Park about their community’s priorities and to discuss what I need to be doing in Congress to help them,” Norton said.
