‘Norton in Your Neighborhood’ with Edgewood Civic Association, Tonight
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will host a "Norton in Your Neighborhood" conversation, in conjunction with the Edgewood Civic Association, this evening, Monday, May 21, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., at Inspired Teaching Public Charter School (200 Douglas St. NE).
Norton will engage District of Columbia residents on advancements on her bill to make the District of Columbia the 51st state, which has attracted a record number of House cosponsors (159); her success in securing funding for her D.C. priorities, including protecting $40 million in annual funding for the D.C. Tuition Assistance Grant Program (DCTAG); her fight to protect home rule and D.C.'s local laws, including defeating unceasing attempts to wipe out the District's local gun safety laws; her major economic development projects, which continue to deliver jobs for D.C. residents; and bills she has introduced to help both D.C. and the nation.
