Norton Releases Statement on Death of Joe Kaplan, Accomplished Labor Law Attorney, President of Hexagon

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) expressed her deep sorrow and regrets on the passing of Joe Kaplan from COVID-19. Although Kaplan was an accomplished attorney who focused on employment and labor law for employees and unions, Norton knew Kaplan from his long association with performances at Hexagon, the much-loved spoof on politicians and political life.

"Joe's loss is felt across our region," Norton said. "Those of us who participate in Hexagon will miss the many ways Joe's talent propelled this Washington institution. From writer of Hexagon shows to service on its Board of Directors, Joe never stopped serving Hexagon and D.C. We shall not forget him."
