Norton’s Keynote Remarks at Hattie Holmes Senior Wellness Center Anniversary to Take on Medicare Claims and Counterclaims

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton's (D-DC) keynote remarks at the 5th anniversary celebration of the Hattie Holmes Senior Wellness Center, on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at 324 Kennedy Street NW,will sort out controversial claims about the Affordable Care Act and Medicare for senior citizens. The Hattie Holmes Senior Wellness Center provides fitness and education programs designed to improve and maintain the health of seniors in the District.

"I am pleased to salute the Hattie Holmes Senior Wellness Center for five tremendous years of providing many outstanding programs for our city's seniors, from fitness to cooking, all with the goal of improving or maintaining good health," Norton said. "The center has lived up to its namesake, Hattie Holmes, who set the example for involvement in one's community in her many endeavors with pioneering work on aging. It will be an honor to deliver the keynote remarks at the 5th anniversary celebration of the senior wellness center named for Hattie Holmes."
