Norton Says Federal Employees’ Generosity Shines Despite Hardship, to Speak at Feds Feed Families Food Drive, Today

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will speak at the U.S. Department of Agriculture Feds Feed Families Food Drive National Kick-off Ceremony today, June 2, 2014, at 10:45 a.m., at the Jamie L. Whitten Building (corner of 12^th St. and Jefferson Dr. SW).

"It is typical of the generosity of federal employees that at a time when hundreds of thousands of them have faced furloughs and three years of pay freezes, they are stepping forward with the Feds Feed Families Food Drive yet again," said Norton. "It is the fifth year of a tradition that has significantly helped D.C. residents and families, especially children."
