Norton Thanks Residents, Employers, and Staff for Successful 2019 D.C. Jobs Fair

August 1, 2019

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today thanked the 700 residents, more than 70 employers, and her staff for organizing a successful 2019 D.C. Jobs Fair. Norton said the event received many positive responses from residents. As Norton visited, she greeted all the vendors to personally thank them and was often stopped by residents thanking her for today's Jobs Fair, which was open to D.C. residents only.

"Our Jobs Fair is among our most popular events, but it was particularly gratifying to be stopped by so many residents indicating the Fair had helped them," Norton said. "Our Fair attracted not only residents looking for jobs, but many looking for better jobs. We believe that the cross section of jobs, at many skill levels, from around the region accounted for the resident satisfaction we heard. However, we will evaluate the written feedback turned in by participants and employers for ways to improve this event in the future."
