WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) and Congresswoman Dina Titus (D-NV) today wrapped up their friendly wager on the Stanley Cup Finals matchup between the Washington Capitals and Vegas Golden Knights with Titus taking a photo in a D.C. Statehood shirt in Norton's office. Titus also said her gift basket for Norton filled with goodies from local Las Vegas businesses is on its way to the nation's capital. The basket features treats from Ethel M Chocolate Factory, CraftHaus Brewery, playing cards from a local casino and a variety of gifts and mementos celebrating Las Vegas.

"I thank Dina and her Golden Knights for a hard-fought series," said Norton. "Despite her already public support for D.C. statehood, I was delighted to see Dina and her staff ‘rocking the red' in ‘Statehood for D.C.' shirts. I also cannot wait to enjoy an assortment of the best local treats Las Vegas has to offer."

"I congratulate Congresswoman Norton and the Capitals on their championship," said Titus. "The Golden Knights faced seemingly insurmountable odds from Day 1, but through determination and teamwork they fought all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals. Today I'm proud to stand with the 700,000 residents of Washington, DC in support of statehood and will continue to fight until this injustice is righted."
