Norton to Be Featured Guest Speaker at George Washington University Black Heritage Celebration Event, Tonight

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will be the featured guest at a Black Heritage Celebration hosted by George Washington University tonight, February 17, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., in Room B07 at the George Washington School of Media & Public Affairs (805 21st St. NW). Norton will join students and the public to discuss the youth civil rights movement of which she was a part and today’s updated version of young people in the streets protesting police abuse, joblessness, and other conditions facing young African Americans.
