Norton to Deliver Breaking Federal News, Seek Feedback from Ward 2 Residents Thursday
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) is bringing her "Norton In Your Neighborhood" conversation to Ward 2 and the 1150 K Street Condominium Owners Association on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at the Asbury United Methodist Church (926 11th Street NW). Norton will offer her forecast for the lame-duck session of Congress now underway, bring breaking federal news that affects the neighborhood, and seek feedback from residents on federal issues of importance to them. She also will discuss the upcoming fiscal cliff, what the District can expect during President Obama's second term, and outline some surprising wins for the city in the 112th Congress, which has had one of the most conservative Houses in history.
