Norton to Discuss Progress on Her Priorities at Citizens of Georgetown Annual Meeting, Tonight
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will address Citizens of Georgetown's 2018 annual meeting tonight, Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at 7:30 p.m., at Dumbarton House (2715 Q St. NW). Norton will engage residents on a number of her congressional priorities she has achieved for the District of Columbia, notwithstanding a Republican House and Senate, including her work to combat airplane and helicopter noise, which has plagued many neighborhoods in Wards 2 and 3. Norton is co-chair of the Quiet Skies Caucus and recently got several of her provisions to reduce and address airplane and helicopter noise in the House-passed bill to reauthorize the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
"I appreciate the opportunity to join Georgetown residents at their annual meeting at a time when my congressional work is related to a number of their priorities," Norton said.
