Washington, DC - At a hearing today on the CEO Pay and the Mortgage Crisis, Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) asked Angelo Mozilo, CEO of Countrywide Financial Corporation, the largest U.S. mortgage lender, whether he would be willing to assign staff from the corporation to work with her constituents who are caught in the subprime mortgage crisis. Mozilo agreed and added that he would leave the phone numbers of the staff to be assigned, and even his own number! The Congresswoman then asked Mozilo not to forget to leave his number.
