Norton to Give Keynote Address at DC Center’s Annual Reception, Tonight

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will give the keynote address at the DC Center for the LGBT Community's annual reception tonight, Thursday, November 1, 2018, at 5:00 p.m., at the Gala Hispanic Theatre (3333 14th St. NW). She will speak about making progress in spite of problems facing the LGBTQ community resulting from actions by the Trump administration and the Republican-controlled Congress.

"I thank the DC Center for always being on the front lines in the fight for the LGBTQ community, particularly in helping me protect D.C.'s local anti-discrimination laws from repeated and constant attacks by Republicans in Congress," Norton said. "We are sending a message this year that being active and making your voice heard is the way to check bigotry and move the nation forward on equal rights for LGBTQ Americans."
