Norton to Host a Roundtable-Speak-Out to Protect Women’s Reproductive Rights in D.C. and the Nation, March 24
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today announced that she will host a Women's History Month public Roundtable-Speak-Out entitled, "On the Offensive: Protecting Reproductive Choice Against State and Federal Attacks," on Tuesday, March 24, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the George Washington University Hospital Auditorium (900 23rd St. NW). The roundtable will feature a presiding panel of pro-choice leaders with Speak-Out witnesses who know what it would mean to lose choice.
"Increasingly, women in D.C. and in every state across the country are under attack at the local, state, and federal levels by public officials and their allies seeking to restrict choice and to violate women's constitutional reproductive rights," Norton said. "This Women's History Month, the word is out that pro-choice women and families are assuming a new, strengthened offensive to drive back opponents of a woman's fundamental right to privacy and control of her reproductive choices. This roundtable is about raising awareness and organizing action here and across the nation."
