Norton to Host Capital Parks East Town Hall Meeting, Tuesday
Washington, D.C. -- Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will host a Capital Parks East Town Hall Meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at THEARC, 1901 Mississippi Avenue SE. Leadership from the National Park Service (NPS), the Shepherd Parkway Committee, Washington Parks & People, and the 11th Street Bridge Park Project will discuss ideas and hear suggestions from residents in Wards 7 and 8 on how to improve the federal parkland in their communities. The Town Hall Meeting will hear input from residents about Fort Dupont Park, Anacostia Park, Shepherd Parkway, Kenilworth Park and other NPS grounds in Wards 7 and 8, and is welcoming residents to submit their questions and commentary to nortonevents@mail.house.gov before the Town Hall.
