WASHINGTON, DC - Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today will host her annual Senior Legislative Day at the Arena Stage, 1101 6th Street, SW, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., where200 D.C. seniors will be briefed on House Budget Committee Chair Paul Ryan's (R-WI) proposed changes to Medicare and Medicaid and the current status of the Affordable Care Act. D.C. residents will participate in an exercise with the Fitness Divas and will be treated to a performance selection from Oklahoma.

Dr. Clayton Lawrence of LEAP Foundation, DC will offer remarks on senior's health concerns and Louis Davis, Jr. of AARP will speak about saving Medicare. Dr. John Thompson of the D.C. Office on Aging will offer greetings. Seniors will also have the opportunity to tour the new theater.

"Our well-informed seniors want to hear it straight on the issue that has taken center stage this year, the controversial Ryan proposal to cut Medicare and Medicaid," Norton said. "But we hope they will be entertained at the gorgeous Arena Stage by the performance of Oklahoma and a full program of fun and exercise."
