Norton to March with D.C. Girl Scouts in Cherry Blossom Parade, Saturday

April 13, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will march in the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade tomorrow, Saturday, April 14, 2018, beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the intersection of 7th St. NW and Constitution Ave. NW. Norton will march with the Girl Scouts of the National Capital Region. Norton has walked in every Cherry Blossom Parade since being elected to Congress to help emphasize the importance of the Cherry Blossom season to the District of Columbia's tourist economy and to welcome visitors to the nation's capital.

"Spring has finally arrived (I think!), when we showcase our unique Chery Blossom Parade and open the tourist season here in the nation's capital," Norton said. "The Cherry Blossom Parade is an annual tradition for residents and tourists alike. I look forward to once again marching with our region's many Girl Scouts troops."
