WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will meet with U.S. Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, and Howard University School of Law Dean Danielle Holley-Walker before joining them for an armchair discussion in front of students as part of the University’s celebration of Constitution Day today, Tuesday, September 20, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., at the Moot Court Room (2900 Van Ness St. NW).
“Chief Judge Merrick Garland is generous to share his life as a judge interpreting our Constitution and laws with Howard University School of Law students, who are about to embark on their own careers in the law,” Norton said. “I look forward to the opportunity to sit down with Chief Judge Garland and I greatly appreciate his taking this opportunity to meet with Howard Law students.”
