Norton to Offer Forecast of the Lame-Duck Session and Seek Feedback From Palisades Residents Tonight

November 13, 2012

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) brings her "Norton in Your Neighborhood" conversation to the Palisades Civic Association tonight, November 13, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. at the Palisades Recreation Center (5200 Sherrier Place NW). Norton will bring breaking federal news to residents there, and also discuss federal issues that affect the neighborhood. Neighbors have asked about airport noise, and Norton will have a report on this local issue. She will also discuss the fiscal cliff, expectations for District residents now that President Obama has been re-elected, some surprising wins for D.C. during the 112th Congress, which has had one of the most conservative Houses in memory, and the work that lies ahead in the lame-duck session. The Congresswoman is looking forward to receiving feedback from residents on issues of importance to them and their community.

If your group would like to bring a "Norton in Your Neighborhood" conversation to their community, they should call the Congresswoman's district office at (202) 783-5065.
