Norton to Receive Award from Miriam’s Kitchen

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will receive an award from Miriam's Kitchen tomorrow, May 2nd, at 6:00 p.m. for her work supporting homelessness relief efforts and championing the D.C. community.

"Ending chronic and veteran homelessness is possible and should be a top priority for Congress," Norton said. "For over 35 years, Miriam's Kitchen has served the District of Columbia and helped reduce homelessness by significant margins. Their wholesale approach to addressing this crisis, which includes case management, outreach, housing assistance, and entire systems change, should be a model for every community.
