Norton to Speak at ‘By The People’ Arts Festival in Georgetown, Today

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will speak at the second annual "By The People" Arts Festival today, Tuesday, June 18th, at the Halcyon House in Georgetown at 11:00 a.m. Norton will be featured in a discussion with For Freedoms founder Hank Willis Thomas and the executive director of the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, Terrie Rouse-Rosario.

The "By The People" Festival is a free arts and dialogue festival in the District running from June 15-23, with programming for all ages, including massive art installations, pop-up performances, curated dialogues, augmented reality artwork, and more. The festival first launched last year, touching every quadrant of the city, focused on the themes of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Due to limited capacity, free registration for this event is required. Seating will be first come, first served. You can register for the event here.
