Norton to Speak at Grand Opening of Unity Health Care’s New Brentwood Health Center, Thursday

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will speak at the grand opening of Unity Health Care's new health care center, the Rev. Dr. Morris L. Shearin, Sr. Community Life Center (MLS Community Life Center) tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, at 11:30 a.m. at the Israel Baptist Church (1251 Saratoga Street NE). The new Brentwood health center was created in partnership with Israel Manor, Inc., the non-profit development arm of Israel Baptist Church. The center will offer adult, family and pediatric medicine, dentistry, OB/GYN, podiatry, and other specialty services, but will also serve as a multi-purpose community space, offering educational and recreational opportunities.

"Rev. Morris Shearin and Israel Baptist are always looking for contributions to make to our city," Norton said. "The partnership between Israel Manor, Inc. and United Health Care is ideal to provide Ward 5 with a beautiful center to meet the health care and spiritual needs of the community."
