Norton to Speak at Kickoff Celebration for National Children’s Museum, Tomorrow

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will give remarks to welcome the National Children's Museum (NCM) back to the District of Columbia tomorrow, Monday, June 18, 2018, at 10:00 a.m., at Woodrow Wilson Plaza (1300 Pennsylvania Ave. NW). The celebration will feature performances by two local D.C. children's groups—Kids Konnection DC and Capitol Movement Institute Kidz—as well as the select previews of NCM's architectural plans and exhibit renderings. The museum is set to open in March 2019.

"We regretted seeing the Children's Museum leave its hometown and we are delighted to welcome them back home where they belong," Norton said. "I will be giving the Museum a personal welcome back to their new home."
