Norton to Speak at National LGBTQ Task Force’s 30th Annual Creating Change Conference, Tonight
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will offer remarks to welcome the National LGBTQ Task Force to the District of Columbia for its 30th annual Creating Change Conference tonight, Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 8:30 p.m., at the Marriott Wardman Park (2660 Woodley Rd. NW). Norton is a member of the congressional LGBT Equality Caucus and a founding member of its Transgender Equality Task Force.
"It is a special honor for me to welcome the National LGBTQ Task Force back to our capital city, where they also have been instrumental in helping D.C. protect our LGBTQ residents from frequent congressional attacks on our local laws," Norton said. "Each year, as I fight off attacks in Congress on LGBTQ rights here in the District of Columbia, I am strengthened by the work of the National LGBTQ Task Force. I am continuing to press for passage of the Equality Act to bar discrimination against LGBT Americans in all sectors of American life."
