April 20, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will speak at the opening of the Smithsonian Institution's Anacostia Community Museum's 50th anniversary exhibition tonight, Friday, April 20, 2018, at 6:30 p.m., at 1901 Fort Pl. SE. The exhibition, entitled "A Right to the City," will run a full two years from Saturday, April 21, 2018, through April 20, 2020.

"The Anacostia Community Museum may be a community museum, but it is celebrating its outstanding 50 years by showing how our entire city has changed in the last half century," Norton said. "This must-see exhibition masterfully confronts the challenges faced by our ever-changing urban jurisdiction and the impact on neighborhoods and residents."
