Norton to Speak at the D.C. Federation of National Active and Retired Federal Employees Convention
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The office of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) announced today that Norton will speak at the D.C. Federation of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) Convention this Saturday, May 4th, at 10:30 a.m.
"I am grateful to NARFE for protecting the pay, retirement, and benefits of federal employees at a time when federal employees have been under attack by this administration," Norton said. "After the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, federal workers and retirees need support from Congress, not a cold shoulder. The Democratic House, in power for the first time in eight years, is intent on protecting the civil service system and benefits for federal employees and retirees, who have served the American people with great dedication."
