Norton to Speak on D.C. Statehood Panel Following Historic Passage of Her Bill in House Oversight Committee, Thursday

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will speak on a D.C. statehood panel sponsored by the D.C. Bar Association this Thursday, February 13th, at 12:00 p.m, two days after her D.C. statehood bill was voted out of Committee. Norton will be joined by Representatives Gerry Connolly (D-VA) and Jamie Raskin (D-MD). Yesterday, the House Committee on Oversight and Reform passed Norton's D.C. statehood bill, moving it to the House floor for expected passage. The Committee's vote was the first since Norton got the first ever congressional vote for D.C. statehood in 1993.
