June 10, 2018

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) will offer remarks at the annual American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) membership conference tonight, Sunday, June 10, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., at the Washington Convention Center (801 Mt. Vernon PL. NW). Norton began her legal career as an assistant lawyer at the ACLU. While at the ACLU, she argued and won a civil liberties case before the U.S. Supreme Court.

"I continue to value the indispensable work of the ACLU, particularly today as a Member of Congress," Norton said. "Those fighting to defend civil liberties and freedom in the face of ongoing attacks continue to look to the leadership of the ACLU."
