Norton to Welcome D.C. Children on Capitol Hill for 25th Annual Holiday Party, Wednesday

December 15, 2014

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United Planning Organization Inspire Foundation, in conjunction with Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), will host the 25th Annual Capitol Hill Holiday Party for underprivileged children in the District of Columbia at the Capitol on Wednesday, December 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in 345 Cannon House Office Building. This year's party, which will provide the children gifts, as well as a visit from Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, has been held during Christmas time ever since Norton has served in Congress.

"Welcoming these children to Capitol Hill during the holiday season is always a highlight of my year," Norton said. "The generosity, kindness, and joyful holiday cheer in our community will surely shine through, as it does every year."

Norton said that she is particularly grateful to the many businesses, organizations, and individuals that generously made donations or volunteered their time to help make this annual party a success.
